We're excited to welcome Gemma Sparrow as the new AMS Business Development Manager for the South into the Advantage team. Gemma brings a wealth of experience from the travel industry, and we can't wait to see her put her skills into action in supporting members. To support the growth of our membership, it’s essential that we continue to offer our members support in their day-today activities and Gemma’s appointment is just part of the recent changes and plans from our Business Development team. Keep reading to find out about Gemma, her favourite destination and what she is most looking forward to in working here! 

Welcome Gemma! Could you tell us about your travel background?

I have worked in travel for over twenty years, most of this time in retail management. I have had a real interest in the cruise sector for the past six years. 

What are you looking forward to about working at Advantage?

I'm looking forward to getting out and about and meeting all members operating under the Advantage Managed Service model and helping them all on their journey with Advantage, whatever their goal is as a business - to expand, incorporate homeworking or to grow their branches.  

What do you enjoy most about working in the travel industry?

I enjoy working with the people in the travel industry the most. I love how everyone works together to support each other. Travel is never boring and there is always something exciting happening!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Oh, this is such a hard question. There are so many places I want to visit; however, Canada is next on my todo list. I would love to do some skiing there and some exploring to see what the country has to offer. 

What is your favourite destination?

My favourite destination is New York. I love the hustle and bustle of the city and the shopping is incredible.
