SHARING BEST PRACTICE TO FEATURE AT ADVANTAGE CONFERENCE
Building a web presence, obtaining an ATOL licence and learning from an ‘agency swap’ will be the highlights of the ‘Sharing Best Practice’ session at the Advantage Conference taking place 18-20 September at the Radisson Edwardian, London Heathrow.
Steve Allerston from Holiday Travel in Bridlington will share his experiences of obtaining an ATOL licence with fellow delegates including the operational changes required to his business and whether it was worth the effort.
Karen Allen of Aspen Travel embarked on building a substantial web presence to help drive business. She will be assessing whether the time and financial commitment were worthwhile.
Darren Phillips of Darren Phillips Travel and Jacqui Steadman of Traveltime World exchanged businesses for the day to understand the similarities and differences of running independent travel agencies and will be sharing their findings with delegates.
Colin O’Neill, sales and marketing director at Advantage Travel Centres, said: “The sharing best practice session at last year’s conference was really popular scoring an 87% excellent or good rating from delegates. One of the benefits of being part of Advantage is the contact with fellow members and this is a good example of how we can help them learn from each other. We also plan a similar session for business travel members attending the conference.”
Delegates who wish to register for the conference should contact Nicky Appleby on 020 7324 3949 or email: nickya@advantagetravelcentres.com
